We were in Sheehan’s, a pub in Dun Laoghaire that wasn’t far from where I worked at the time in Dublin. I had met Brian for the first time only an hour earlier. I had never been asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement in the bathroom of a pub before, so it came as something of a relief to discover that this was all that Brian was asking me to do.
